The Traffic Management Implementation course provides the skills and knowledge required to implement a traffic guidance scheme for roadworks ensuring traffic flow is maintained and the safety of the public and workers is maximised. The Department of Transport and Main Roads has approved training providers for this program.
Your Traffic Management Implementation qualification must be renewed every 3 years prior to expiry if the holder wishes to continue the role of Traffic Management duties.

To be issued with the Traffic Management Implementation Card‚ you MUST complete the Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Part 1 & 2 through the Department of Main Roads.
On successful completion of this course including the practical component, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS302D - Implement traffic management plan along with an approved Department of Transport and Main Roads wallet card.

Part 1 - In House Training
Part 2 - Practical Training (Three (3) onsite setups)
- Classroom participation
- Group discussions‚ case studies and a written assessment
Part 2 - Practical Training (Three (3) onsite setups)
- Participants will need to demonstrate knowledge and skills on at least 3 setups. The Third Party Report will be completed for each of the 3 setups
- The Third Party Report and TGS maps MUST be submitted within 3 months of the course date along with
- Completion Certificate from the Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Part 1 & 2.
