To renew your Traffic Management Implementation in Queensland‚ you will be required to successfully complete the Department of Transport and Main Roads approved training program.
Your Traffic Management Implementation qualification must be renewed every 3 years prior to expiry if the holder wishes to continue the role of Traffic Management duties.
The Traffic Management Implementation (Renewal) is aimed at those wishing to retain their ability to place Traffic Management signs on Queensland roads. It has been designed to provide mandatory accreditation under the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices Part 3 (MUTCD).
The Traffic Management Implementation (Renewal) course is designed to establish the underpinning knowledge of the candidate in terms of reading, interpreting, and implementing Traffic Management Plans, as well as ensuring evidence of current onsite skills, knowledge and experience in terms of the set up and removal of traffic signs and devices.
The following changes take effect from 1st October 2019 for this course:
The course has the following pre-requisites when you are due for your renewals:
On successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS302E - Implement traffic management plan and RIIRIS301E - Apply risk management processes along with an approved Department of Transport and Main Roads wallet card.

- Working in Proximity to Traffic - Awareness Part 1 (Copy of Certificate of completion)
- Working in Proximity to Traffic - Awareness Part 2 (Copy of Certificate of completion)
- Currency of Industry Practice (Third Party Reports x2, TGS, toolbox, SWMS Risk Management Plan)
- Copy of QLD TMR Traffic Management Implementation Card
- Copy of Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS302E - implement Traffic Management plan
