RII20120: Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation

This national accredited qualification reflects the role of individuals working in the resources and infrastructure 
industries who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures, using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, and taking some responsibility for the quality of the work outcomes. Training and assessment for this course is  both theory and practical based, practical learning is hands on with the opportunity to build on your skills by participating in live works programs / projects

COURSE OVERVIEW

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 

There are no formal entry requirements for this course however participants are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instructions.

DELIVERY METHODOLOGY 

Students will complete all their theory training in the classroom and the practical components will be delivered in a simulated work environment.

RECOGONITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 

All students will be offered the opportunity to participate in a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process if they believe that they have suitable skills and knowledge through work  experience, formal and informal training and / or general life experiences

FUNDING AND ELIGIBILITY

The Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation is funded under the Queensland Government Certificate 3 Guarantee Program. Student co-contribution fess under the Queensland Government Certificate 3 Guarantee Program are payable at the time of enrolment.  Please note that you can enroll in this Qualification as fee for service, if you are not eligible for C3G funding.

Funding Eligibility for the program:
• Be aged 15 years or above, and no longer at school;
• Permanently reside in Queensland;
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident 
(including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa 
and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency
• not hold, or be enrolled in, a certificate III level or higher qualification (not including 
qualifications completed at school and foundations skills training).
