White Card

The White Card course (CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) is a mandatory requirement for anyone who wants to work in the construction industry.

This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to undertake work health and safety (WHS) induction training within the construction industry. It supports the attainment of basic WHS knowledge which is required prior to undertaking designated tasks within any sectors of the construction industry and relates directly to the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work (ASCC 2007).

The Trim and Cut felled trees course covers how to trim and cut felled trees with a chainsaw. It is intended for use in situations where the production of timber is not the primary focus of the activity. The course also includes equipment maintenance. General workplace legislative and regulatory requirements also apply to this course.

This course involves trimming and cutting felled trees with a chainsaw in a variety of work settings including a forest, agriculture, domestic, local council and emergency services environment for the skills and knowledge required for competent workplace performance.
 

HLTAID001 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

CPR

The Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course will give you and your employees the skills to recognise and manage a casualty who is unconscious and is not breathing. This lifesaving training is critical for all your staff and can be a lifesaver on worksites and in office environments.

This course will run for approximately 3 hours and will included both the theoretical information and practical skills required to assist someone in keeping person alive before an ambulance gets to the scene.

It is recommended that this course is completed every 12 months.
 

Provide First Aid & CPR

FA & CPR

Provide First Aid gives you more hands-on time to practice and reinforce first aid skills. Plus participants will also receive accreditation in: first aid response in an education and care setting; management of asthma; management of anaphylaxis; and automated external defibrillation.

This unit covers the cutting of concrete to initiate planned cracks in road pavement operations in the civil construction industry. It includes the conduct of planning and preparing, selecting and operating a concrete saw and cleaning up.

This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to carry out measurements and perform simple calculations to determine task and material requirements for a job in the civil construction industry.

This unit supports achievement of skills to take measurements and use these to calculate material qualities and calculations for related tasks commonly used and applied in construction work.
 

RIICCM202D - Identify, locate and protect underground services

This unit provides the participants with the skills and knowledge required to identify, locate and protect underground services in preparation of a site for construction operations including searching for known or potential services or utilities which may exist under the surface of a specified excavation site.

This unit ensures that the participant will gain the knowledge and skills required to safely install and remove trench support in a civil construction application. It includes planning and preparing, establishing offsets for civil works, setting up and using levelling devices and cleaning up. The participant will also develop knowledge and skills and the application of awareness regarding safety requirements and issues when working with shoring and trenching.

Licencing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this course vary between states, territories and industry sectors.
 

RIIHAN301D - Operate elevating work Platforms (<11 Meters)

The Operate elevating work platform course (EWP) is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge and skills to operate an elevating work platform and boom type EWP up to 11 meters safely.

This training program covers the safe operation of EWP’s and boom types under 11 meters and is nationally recognised by industry.
 

RIIHAN307D - Operate Vehicle Loading Crane

RIIHAN307D

This course provides the necessary skills and knowledge to safely operate a vehicle loading crane under 10 metre tonnes capacity.

Training covers planning work, conducting routine checks, setting up crane, transferring load, applying load estimation and slinging techniques to move a load, and shutting down and securing crane.
 

RIIWHS202D - Enter and work in confined spaces

RIIWHS202D

This unit covers the entering and working in confined spaces in resources and infrastructure industries. It includes planning and preparing for entry of confined spaces; entry and working in confined spaces, exiting confined spaces and cleaning up.

This unit specifies the competency required to work in a confined space (enclosed or partially enclosed) for the purpose of carrying out work or inspections. It includes the minimum criteria for competency assessment.
 
 

RIIWHS205D - Control Traffic with Stop Slow Bat - Renewal

RIIWHS205D

To renew your Traffic Controller accreditation in Queensland, you will be required to successfully complete the Department of Transport and Main Roads approved training program and demonstrate current competence as a traffic controller.

Your Traffic Controller accreditation must be renewed every 3 years.

On successful completion of this course, you will be required to complete the F4115 - Traffic Controller Accreditation Application (download here) to apply for accreditation as a Traffic Controller with the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

RIIWHS302D - Traffic Management Implementation - Refresher

To renew your Traffic Management Implementation in Queensland, you will be required to successfully complete the Department of Transport and Main Roads approved training program.

Your Traffic Management Implementation qualification must be renewed every 3 years prior to expiry if the holder wishes to continue the role of Traffic Management duties.

The Traffic Management Implementation (Renewal) is aimed at those wishing to retain their ability to place Traffic Management signs on Queensland roads. It has been designed to provide mandatory accreditation under the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices Part 3 (MUTCD).

The Traffic Management Implementation (Renewal) course is designed to establish the underpinning knowledge of the candidate in terms of reading, interpreting, and implementing Traffic Management Plans, as well as ensuring evidence of current onsite skills, knowledge and experience in terms of the set up and removal of traffic signs and devices.

On successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS302D - Implement traffic management plan along with an approved Department of Transport and Main Roads wallet card.
