The Traffic Management Implementation (formerly Level 2) course is designed to teach people how to read, interpret, and implement traffic management plans, as well as provide them with the knowledge on how to set up and remove traffic signs and devices, while ensuring traffic flow is maintained and safety of the public is maximised, in accordance with procedures set out in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices Part 3 (MUTCD). In order to achieve a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS302D Implement Traffic Management Plan, the participant must satisfy the practical requirements for the unit competency. This includes three supervised set-ups of traffic management plans on an active worksite which is recorded in the third party report. Upon successful completion of both the theory and practical elements of RIIWHS302D Implement Traffic Management Plan, candidates will be issued with a numbered card from the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
